The people you’d actually be working with.

Selling a business isn’t a transaction you hand to a firm. It’s a relationship with the person who picks up the phone.

Between us we’ve spent decades across accounting, private equity, M&A and real estate law — and we’ve been owners ourselves. Here’s who you’d be dealing with.

What we stand for

Five things we don’t compromise on.

Work hard, stay humble

We bring everything we have to every engagement, and we never assume we know your business better than you do.

Smart and resourceful

Deals rarely follow the straight path. We find the answer that works, not the one that’s easiest to reach for.

Go the extra mile

Good enough isn’t. The difference between an adequate outcome and an excellent one is usually the work nobody was required to do.

Integrity and ownership

If we’re part of it, we own it — the wins and the setbacks. You’ll hear the difficult things from us early rather than late.

Keep it human

This is one of the most consequential decisions of your life. That doesn’t mean it has to be joyless.

These aren’t wall decorations. They’re how we decide what to tell you when the news isn’t good.

Why we do this

Decades building it. About a week planning the exit.

We’ve watched that gap cost people real money. A business sold for a fraction of what it was worth because nobody prepared it. A deal that collapsed in diligence over something that could have been fixed eighteen months earlier. An owner who found out what their life’s work was worth only after they’d already agreed to sell it.

That’s the reason this firm exists. Not to list businesses — to make sure that when an owner finally does step away, they leave with what they actually built.

The team

Who you’d be working with.

Most brokerages hand you off to a lawyer when the transaction gets complicated. Ours sits at the table from the start.

omari-kamal-600
Omari Kamal
Founder & Principal

Omari has spent more than twenty years across investment management, private equity, public accounting and M&A — and has been an owner himself. That combination is deliberate. Reading a set of financial statements is one skill; knowing what a buyer will actually pay for them is another; and having sat on the owner's side of the table is a third. Most brokers have one of those. He founded this practice because he kept meeting owners who had built something genuinely valuable and had no idea what it was worth, or how close they were to losing it. He holds an MBA from DePaul University and a BS in Finance from Roosevelt University.

shara-kamal-600
Shara Kamal, Esq.
Transaction Coordinator

Shara brings more than two decades of real estate and business law to the table — and she's not only an attorney. She's also a licensed Illinois real estate broker and a title insurance agent, which matters more than it sounds: a great many business sales involve the building, the lease, or both, and that's where deals get complicated. Her practice spans residential and commercial closings, business formation, and asset protection. She holds a Juris Doctor in Business and Real Estate from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a BA from Columbia College Chicago, and has been named to the National Black Lawyers Top 100.

jeff-farren-600
Jeff Farren
Senior Broker

Jeff is a serial entrepreneur with extensive M&A experience on both sides of the table, as a principal and as an adviser. His focus is transforming companies into genuinely valuable acquisition targets, then working alongside the owner through the sale itself. He has bought and sold businesses with his own money, which changes how he reads a deal — he knows which risks a buyer will price and which ones will end the conversation. Sellers tend to find out early where they actually stand rather than after months in the market. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
