Buy the right business. Not just an available one.
Whether you’ve found something on our listings or you want us searching on your behalf, we’ll help you evaluate what’s really there, price it properly, and step into ownership without breaking what you just bought.
What most first-time buyers miss
The risk isn’t overpaying. It’s not knowing that you did.
Most people buy one business in their lifetime. On the other side of the table sits a seller with an accountant, a broker and an attorney who have all done this many times before.
The numbers aren’t the business
Add-backs, owner compensation, deferred maintenance. Discretionary earnings can be presented several ways, and only some of those survive diligence.
The best ones are never listed
A great many businesses change hands quietly, to buyers already in the conversation. If you only look at what’s advertised, you’re seeing what didn’t sell the first time.
Financing shapes the deal
What you can borrow, and on what terms, determines what you can offer and how the structure has to work. Discovering that after you’ve agreed a price is backwards.
Two different things we do
Two ways to work with us.
Buy one of our listings
Browse the businesses we currently represent. If something fits, we’ll walk you through the financials, arrange the seller meeting, and guide the transaction to closing.
The seller pays our fee — not you
Engage us to find it
We search on your behalf — including businesses that were never listed — then prepare offers, support diligence and financing, and stay with you through closing and transition.
Retainer · hourly · success fee
Buy-side representation
Four steps, from search to ownership.
Define Your Search
Goals, budget, industry, geography — and honestly, what you actually want to spend your days doing once you own it.
Evaluate Opportunities
Financial performance, strategic fit, valuation and risk, assessed properly rather than optimistically.
Buy with Confidence
Offer, diligence, financing and deal structure — built to protect you rather than to get a deal signed.
Transition Successfully
Move from buyer to owner without disrupting the staff, customers and suppliers you just acquired.
Fees
What it costs depends which one you want.
Buying one of our listings
Nothing. When you buy a business we’re representing, the seller pays our fee. You get the full process — financials, meetings, negotiation, closing support — at no cost to you.
Buy-side representation
A retainer to begin, hourly billing for work performed, and a success fee at closing. The structure depends on the scope of the search, and we’ll set it out in full before you engage.
Most people buy one business.
Make it the right one.
A first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
